Hey Leaders!

We’re entering week 2 of the Rooted in the Greatness of God sermon series.  This week we get to explore God’s holiness through; the centrality of it in the Scriptures, the consequence of God’s holiness, and the conundrum that he is holy and he is love.  You can access the curriculum for this week (both the participant’s guide and the leader guide) below.

A heads up for you as a leader - Pastor Brian introduces the conundrum of God’s wrath coexisting with his love but doesn’t resolve it this week.  He will talk about God’s mercy next week and clearly articulate the gospel.  This week and next, you will have some great opportunities to lay the groundwork for and talk about the gospel in your groups.  I encourage you to be praying for group members that haven’t understood or accepted the gospel as well for those group members who have been walking with Jesus for a while, that the gospel would form their lives more and more.

And always, be prepared to give a reason for the hope you have.

As we get deeper into this season of ministry, you may feel the need to shift to meeting virtually to provide consistency for your groups.  If you need help getting your group mobile friendly, please let me know and I’d be happy to help.

I’m praying Psalm 1:2-3 to be true in each of you -

but his delight is in the law of the Lord,

and on his law he meditates day and night.

He is like a tree

    planted by streams of water

that yields its fruit in its season,

and its leaf does not wither.

In all that he does, he prospers.

I’m praying for a fruitful season for each of you; that you are planted firmly in the living water that is Jesus and thus well watered so you don’t wither, but rather prosper, especially in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ!

By his grace and for his glory,
