Life Group "Time Out" To Serve at Woodlands
Last year at the Harbor one group had a discussion about serving as
Job For Life Mentors or Essential Table Hosts together as a Life Group. This would be a weekly commitment (JFL twice a week) but only for a specific amount of time. (10 or 8 weeks). The thought was that the Life Group would take a "Time Out" from their typical meeting and study and instead gather at Woodlands to serve together. What a great way to interact with those who may need a helping hand in learning more about Christ and His love for them. If you would like more information about becoming an Essentials Table Host(s) please contact:
Doug Schneider at Woodlands 715-341-0800 or email@example.com.
If you or your group would like to serve as Jobs For Life Mentors please contact:
Kent Didreckson 920-470-1274 or firstname.lastname@example.org

Opportunities to serve meals at the Salvation Army Hope Center for both lunches and dinners. A great opportunity to build relationships with the meal participants. Weekend help is especially needed. They serve lunch at 12PM and dinner at 5:30 PM for about 40 people.

Rummage Sale for Freedom
Friday May 10th to
Saturday May 11th
Trokosi Freedom Project in Ghana
2324 4th Avenue - Stevens Point
This will be the 11th year of the sale which raises money for this worthy cause! What is the Trokosi Freedom Project? Once young girls are freed from the Trokosi practice which is sexual slavery; they are able to attend a vocational school which helps them learn a trade to support themselves and their children. The money from the Rummage Sale provides girls graduating from the project a ‘business kit’ with everything they need to start their own business…some may sew, others learn how to do hair, others may learn to dye fabric, etc. Each year our donation has increased! The last few years, we’ve been able to donate over $6,000 each year. Each starter ‘business kit’ runs about $350. Doing the math shows that many women are now able to get a great start in supporting themselves and their families.
